For business owners, failing to properly protect trade secrets is like watching those valuable intangible assets walk out the door.

In a recent article published in The Business Journals, Gunster attorney David Bates identifies how implementing particular procedures can help entrepreneurs protect their company’s confidential information.

It’s failure to implement these types of procedures, he says, that can lead to stolen customer lists or inadvertently release of trade secrets online.
